Female Incontinence Treatments – Orlando

If you are a woman experiencing embarrassing bladder leaks, you are not alone. As many as one in three women suffer from urinary incontinence that causes them to “pee a little” when they laugh, sneeze, cough, run, or workout.

The good news is that two new nonsurgical procedures can provide you with a quick, convenient, and easy treatment for female urinary incontinence! With just one treatment session, we can reduce and even eliminate your bladder leaks entirely. These two nonsurgical treatments for female incontinence that we are pleased to offer you here at Amore Medical Spa are the O-Shot and Viveve™.

What is the O-Shot?

The O-shot is a safe, drug-free, and non-surgical treatment that improves female sexual health. Using isolated growth proteins found naturally in the patient’s own blood, the O-shot increases blood flow to the pelvic area. This tightens the tissues and prevents accidental bladder leakage. It also boosts female sexual health and can improve sensitivity and enjoyment of sex. Learn more about the O-shot here.

What is Viveve™?

Viveve™ is a safe, drug-free, and non-surgical treatment that uses radiofrequency waves (CMRF) to rejuvenate vaginal tissue and muscles. Targeted application of the radiofrequency waves stimulates collagen production in the vagina, which strengthens the vaginal walls and tissues. This improves sensation, reduces dryness, and helps to stop embarrassing bladder leaks. It also boosts female sexual health and can improve sensitivity and enjoyment of sex. Dr. Nicole Eisenbrown is one of the first and only female pelvic health experts in the Orlando area to offer these exciting and effective new treatments for female incontinence. What causes female incontinence?

Female incontinence, also called stress urinary incontinence, can be caused by pregnancy, childbirth, menopause, aging, certain medical conditions, and even trauma from surgery. Each of these may cause the vagina to lose its youthful elasticity and muscle tone and may cause it to become dry. This can result in a loss of bladder control (accidental bladder leakage). It can also cause sex to feel unsatisfying or painful.

How Common is Female incontinence?

As many as one in three women suffer from urinary incontinence that causes them to “pee a little” when they laugh, sneeze, cough, run, or workout. This treatment can provide significant relief by greatly reducing the amount of embarrassing bladder leaks that many women experience.

What are the benefits of getting Viveve™?

Patients who get Viveve™ vaginal rejuvenation treatment can experience a significant improvement in female urinary incontinence and bladder control. They will also be able to enjoy improved vaginal tightness, sensitivity, increased vaginal lubrication, more comfortable sex, and overall improved sexual satisfaction.

Which treatment should I choose, Viveve™ or the O-Shot?

Both Viveve™ and the O-Shot are effective treatments for female incontinence and can improve vaginal lubrication, tightness, and sensitivity. Dr. Eisenbrown will go over both treatments in detail to help you determine which of these two treatments is best for you.

What will my Viveve™ treatment experience be like?

Your Viveve™ vaginal rejuvenation treatment will be administered quickly and easily in-office. A slim wand will be inserted into the vagina to deliver the rejuvenation radiofrequency waves. A special cooling technology will ensure that the procedure is comfortable and painless. The full treatment session typically lasts between 30 minutes and 1 hour. Because there is no anesthesia, no medication, and no surgery, you can expect no side effects. There is also no downtime or recovery.

What will my O-Shot treatment experience be like?

Your O-shot will be administered quickly and easily in-office. First, a simple blood draw will be performed (like getting a routine blood test). The drawn blood sample will be centrifuged to isolate the growth proteins by separating the platelets from the blood cells. After this, a topical numbing cream will be applied to make the procedure more comfortable, and the platelets will be injected directly into the upper vagina and clitoris. The full treatment takes approximately 30 minutes, after which you can be on your way. Because there is no general anesthesia, no medication, and no surgery, you can expect minimal to no side effects (some women may experience temporary mild redness, swelling, or numbness). There is also no downtime or recovery.

Learn more about the O-shot here.

How many treatments will I need?

Most patients need only one single treatment session with either treatment. Periodic treatments may be repeated once every 1 to 2 years to maintain the results.

How long will it take to see results?

Patients typically begin to notice improvement in vaginal pain and bladder leaks within the first few weeks after treatment with Viveve™. These results will continue to improve over the following weeks as new collagen forms, typically peaking at around 6 to 9 weeks post-procedure. Results after O-shot treatments may be seen within a few days to a few weeks. As the platelets rejuvenate the tissues, these results may continue to improve for up to a few months.

How long will my results last?

Your current health, age, medical conditions, and hormonal concerns will all play a role in your results. For many individuals, results can last 12 to 18 months or longer. Because both treatments are all-natural, it is safe to get periodic maintenance treatments to ensure long-lasting results.
